Villagers come together for massive afforestation initiative, bringing us closer to our 25,000 tree goal.

This weekend, the Damday Village community united for one of our largest tree plantation drives yet, successfully planting 500 saplings across various locations.
The drive was a true community effort: - Over 100 villagers participated - Students from local schools joined enthusiastically - Mix of fruit trees, timber trees, and native species - Expert guidance from forestry department
We planted apple, pear, walnut, and oak trees that will provide fruit, timber, and ecological benefits for generations. Each sapling was carefully selected for the local climate and soil conditions.
This brings our total to 13,000 trees, marking significant progress toward our goal of 25,000 trees by 2025. These trees will sequester approximately 65 tons of CO2 annually when mature.
The plantation sites include: - Hillside slopes for erosion control - Village common areas for shade - School and community center grounds - Agricultural field boundaries
Thank you to all participants who made this event successful. Together, we're growing a greener future!
